Koumozo

Koumozo Batch #7 released at Estia Greek Festival

It was an absolute pleasure to be a sponsor and be part of the Estia Festival in Hobart a few weeks back and share the Koumozo Ouzo experience with so many of you. As someone who has been part of the hospitality industry for three decades, it’s always wonderful to talk about food and wine with people. But sharing my Koumozo journey with record breaking attendees on that special day took things to whole new level. Everyone’s enthusiasm made my day; from those who sipped gently or knocked back their shot (I’m looking at you!), all were surprised by how smooth-tasting it was! Watching everyone’s faces as they tried our Koumozo was priceless and we were so pleased to receive such wonderful feedback. What a joyful time together – thank you.

In preparation for Estia, I knew it was going to be a tough gig converting those skeptics but we nailed it. Those wild trips to Greece had left some with less than pleasant ouzo memories (we’ve all had them) – until they sipped our Koumozo. Its smoothness and complex flavors made it easy and enjoyable for them to drink. Also judged by the Greeks (who are my toughest customers😅), they were equally as impressed by the all important aniseed kick, the smoothness and how clean it was on the palate with no aftertaste. Let’s say we restored faith in ouzo drinking.
