Koumozo at Paniyiri 2026: Bringing a Taste of Tasmania to Brisbane

There are weekends that remind you exactly why you do what you do, and our time at Brisbane’s 50th Paniyiri Greek Festival was one of them.
For two incredible days, Koumozo was proud to showcase our small-batch Tasmanian crafted aniseed aperitif inside the Cellar of Dionysus at The Greek Club. Surrounded by premium Greek wines and passionate producers, we had the opportunity to share the story of Koumozo with thousands of festival goers, hospitality professionals, retailers and fellow lovers of Greek culture.
The Cellar of Dionysus quickly became a meeting place for conversation, connection and celebration. Greek wine flowed in abundance, stories were shared, new friendships were formed and Koumozo shots disappeared almost as quickly as we could pour them.
Inspired by the Greek island of Lipsi and handcrafted in Tasmania, Koumozo was created to honour our heritage while embracing the quality and craftsmanship of Australian distilling. Seeing so many people connect with our story, taste our spirit for the first time and instantly understand what makes Koumozo special was incredibly rewarding.
Throughout the weekend we welcomed hospitality professionals, venue owners, bottle shop operators and spirit enthusiasts eager to learn more about our production process, serving suggestions and wholesale opportunities. We were thrilled by the level of interest from both consumers and trade representatives looking to bring something uniquely Greek-inspired to their venues and shelves.
Most importantly, we met hundreds of wonderful people who stopped by for a taste, shared stories of family, travel and Greece, and helped create an atmosphere that truly embodied the spirit of Paniyiri.
A special thank you to everyone who visited our stand, tasted Koumozo, purchased a bottle, shared a recommendation or simply stopped for a chat. Your enthusiasm, encouragement and support mean the world to us.

As we returned home to Tasmania, we brought back more than just empty tasting bottles and tired feet. We returned inspired by the connections made, grateful for the support received, and excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for Koumozo.
To everyone who joined us at Paniyiri, thank you for helping make the weekend such a memorable success.

Until next time…
Yamas!
